Our Hopeseed Foundation Partnership

Hopeseed Foundation and Source Coders, is excited to announce their partnership. The Hopeseed Foundation supports people, children and communities to develop emotional wellness while cultivating communication & leadership skills which are essential to living a healthy and meaningful life. Source Coders, a tech recruiting agency based in California, will be working with Hopeseed on raising awareness of their projects, fundraising and a sharing of resources when circumstances permit.

Hopeseed’s main project of focus is “Lily of the Valley Village” where they support 15 house mothers who look after over 119 children. These house mothers provide holistic care for children and youth who have been marginalized through HIV, AIDS and a broken society. Fundraising efforts go towards medical treatment, housing, leadership & skills development and nutrition.

Due to COVID-19 this project is currently on hold so energy has gone into launching a ‘Future Leaders’ program with Future Proof who is based in South Africa. The aim is to address the huge education issues which face South African children via entrepreneurial education. Hopeseed Foundation’s goal is to bring in underprivileged children who would not normally have the opportunity to participate in such an amazing educational course. To date this has been a huge success and the plan is to extend it further. Further updates and details on how to donate can be found via the GoFundMe Campaign.

Kate Rowe, Programs Director at Hopeseed Foundation, commented on the new partnership “Stephen’s company partnership & commitment is paramount to continuing our efforts throughout South Africa. Our ‘house mothers’ can not support these children on their own and by bringing Source Coders onboard it allows us to take the next steps in growing and making sure that our projects are sustainable in the future.”

Launched in 2016, Source Coders is a tech recruiting agency based in California who helps build and scale software engineering teams. Stephen South, Co-Founder and CEO commented, “As a proud South African I couldn’t think of a better way than giving back to my homeland. My aim for Source Coders and Hopeseed Foundation is to formulate an incredibly awesome team & network in order to make a massive impact to our fellow humans in need.”
